This gorgeous grey Arabian is 12 years old, and until he joined us he had been alone in a small pipe-corral pen since he was 8 months old.
He had no shelter or windbreak, not even a tree for shade. And as a herd animal, being alone is especially stressful.
He was said to have been unhandled since foalhood but behind the owner's back he had been taunted, roped and brutally tied down for cruel fun & laughter on numerous occasions.
He had understandably developed a real fear of humans - you couldn't get close enough to touch him.
His first kind handling as an adult was to be patiently coaxed into a trailer, so he could leave and begin his new life.
Full Moon is in training with experienced Arabian horse trainer, Jodi Tuft. We are taking it very slowly - he has no normal life experience at all, so the smallest things have to be learned for the first time. And he now has a companion so they can play together!
And if you are interested in bloodlines, he's by the renowned Alada Baskin I, out of a Sir Victor mare.
